About Taylor

She may have IBS, but she's still kickin'!

Taylor Hunsberger is a writer of children's theater, poetry, and pop culture criticism, though she is probably best known for her comedic Powerpoints.

Currently she is a Contributor at Film Updates and Screen Mayhem.

Taylor originates from outside of the greatest city in the world: Philadelphia, PA and is now based in the greater New York City area. She works as a Site Assistant for Wingspan Arts, where she also teaches Songwriting and Music History to elementary students. She has been referred to as "the greatest teacher ever," if you were wondering. She also works Front of House at The Public Theater and does freelance work in copy editing and writing tutoring.

Taylor was commissioned by Urban Stages to create an original educational library program called Juno's Alien Adventure, which was co-written by collaborator Rachel Aberman and featured original music and puppetry. Taylor and Rachel toured the program at the New York and Brooklyn Public Library during the summer of 2019 and hope to continue moving forward!

Taylor graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BA in English and Theater with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies. While at Muhlenberg, she received the Dean of Students Summer Research Grant and completed an extensive paper about the representation of violence against women in film and television. This paper was presented at the Sigma Tau Delta and the LVAIC Women and Gender Studies Conference in 2017. An excerpt from the project was published on the blog Equality for Her before the site ended.

She has done past dramaturgy for Muhlenberg's production of Gertrude Stein's Listen to Me and for Normal Ave's NAPSeries 2018, where she served as an application evaluator for 2019's festival. She also spent a year working as a literary assistant for Elinor Renfield, professor of drama at The New School, and her new, upcoming play. Is there anything Taylor can't do?

Taylor maintains a deep love romantic comedies, The Bachelor franchise, and rating different yogurt flavors on Twitter. She is working towards rebooting her webshow, but you can enjoy the archives in the meantime!

Taylor is also an avid Carly Rae Jepsen fan and really needs you to know this.
